When it happened the one time before it showed signs at the end of day 2, on gen 6 of the yeast, but I dumped it afterward being skittish and new to the pro ranks. That is the only thing different I can think of.

ACID Music Studio 11 is easy-to-use software that gives you complete freedom to create music your way. ACID Pro 10 Suite offers everything modern music producers need. But I rinsed with water again thoroughly before sanitizing/filling, though with 55 degree water rather than 120, which was the acid rinse temp. The ultimate next generation DAW experience. I did do an acid rinse a couple days before on the FV and let it air dry to re-passivate. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what was different. I have pitched almost every batch (42) at 64 degrees, letting it rise about 1 degree/day until diacetyl rest with a similar amount of yeast, and age of yeast (no cell counts). Finally, the next morning, 2.5 days after pitch, it was rockin'.Ĭan't tell yet how it is going to turn out.

Waited until that night and with still no activity, or change in SG, gave it another longer blast of O2 and pitched another 5 lbs of yeast. At 36 hours, gave it a blast of O2 to rouse. Gravity had dropped 1p, but I had to almost question if my OG was really accurate.

Checked and rechecked all valves were closed. On every occasion except one other time, the next morning shows significant bubbling.

(Cool Edit Pro and Acid are using the same playback device, so I don't think it's a soundcard driver issue). This has only happened once before and I'm scratching my head to see what I did (differently) to perhaps cause it. It's frustrating because to hear a mix I'm having to guess at the mix of the channels in Acid, then render to a wave, then normalize and compress in Cool Edit Pro, then listen to the wave, then repeat the whole process if a track in the mix is too loud or soft. It's like the meters on the main channel in Acid are incorrect. (I'm not using overly extreme compression either). This gives me a huge volume increase with no clipping. The event-specific pitch shift is calculated after the project key and the track’s pitch shift. Even with a new song started, when I playback it slows the song down to a crawl, and almost locks up I can not listen to what I am working on, in SB Acid 4.0.

I am normalizing and then compressing in Cool Edit Pro. After selecting events, you can apply a pitch shift. I have Screenblaster Acid 4.0 and I am running Windows XP with a P4 2.4 ghz, with 640 megs ram on my laptop. wav) and open them in Cool Edit Pro, I see the wave file is nowhere near being too loud. I've tried both the track compressor and the 'Graphic Dynamics' effects. However, I find it very difficult to get any volume increase with this. I've tried adding a compressor on the Master channel to boost the signal a bit. If I push it past 0 dB there is some clipping, but not very much.

I'm watching the Master meter, and making sure it doesn't go past 0 dB. However, I'm having a problem getting reasonable volume out of it. I just got Acid 3.0 and so far I'm happy with it.
